MATTHEW PROJECT is a local program who provide clothing, food, tutoring, mentoring and life skills classes to District 186 homeless children.  The Matthew Project is a not-for-profit afterschool program available to identified/referred homeless children in District 186. The children will receive a healthy snack, one-on-one tutoring for 45 minutes and participate in a life skills activity.  WELCA has decided to ask our members to donate some of the supplies the group needs or money to purchase them.  WELCA has received a $250 credit card from Thrivent and needs one or two volunteers to purchase supplies with the credit card. Some items needed are:

· Boys and girls clothing sizes 5-16, including socks and underwear

· Shampoo

· Deodorant

· Soap

· Toothbrushes and paste

· School supplies including markers, glue stick and dry erase markers
